If an Indian citizen has a transit time of 10 hours in Narita when traveling to USA from India, can they stay in the airport the entire time without having to exit the airport? Is a transit visa required?

Please be informed that travelers who are not entering Japan, and are transferring directly to a third country by transit, are not required to submit any documents and undergo inspections.
