Koothanur Saraswati, worshipped by Ottakoothar
Padmanabhapuram Saraswati, worshipped by Kambar, given to the Chera Raja on his request. After the Cheras shifted their capital from Padmanabhapuram to Thiruvananthapuram, during Navaratri, she is taken on a royal procession to Thiruvananthapuram, worshipped & returned for 9 days. The total ritual including the traveling takes 12 days. She is accompanied by Munnuti Nangai Durga of Sucheendram who is taken to Padmanabhapuram, then to Thiruvananthapuram. The Devis are escorted by Skanda Murugan, a gift from Velu Thampi Dalavai.
